With California Virtual Campus, you can enroll in online courses offered at multiple California community colleges.

More than 10,000 courses are available entirely online across 115 California community colleges. So whether you want to take a course that isn’t offered at your local community college, or have a schedule that requires the flexibility of online learning, enrolling in online courses might be right for you.

As a system, we know students are busy. As such, we prioritize online education because of its flexibility, making it a great option for students balancing work and/or family obligations. Online classes through the California Community Colleges offer the same high-quality education and learning outcomes as in-person courses. It is possible to have it all: education, professional development, and full personal life!

Courses are sorted by distance from your home institution. Students also have the ability to filter by start date, modality, and price. Additionally, badges denoting quality and online support services are also displayed.

Financial Aid

If you are currently enrolled in a California Community College, consider utilizing the CVC Exchange to instantly enroll in online courses offered at eligible colleges without filling out a separate application - at no additional costs! With real-time seat counts, you can be confident that you will get the class you need. Through CVC Exchange, you can also combine financial aid units and academic transcripts are automatically transferred between the two schools.

To get started, search for online classes using the CVC Exchange’s search engine, located at cvc.edu. External page. To accommodate your unique needs, courses can be searched by CSU GE, IGETC, substitute course, or keyword. Search results contain both courses eligible for instant enrollment and those that require a separate application.

The California Virtual Campus – Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI) is a collaborative effort among California community colleges to ensure that significantly more students are able to complete their educational goals by increasing both access to and success in high-quality online courses.

Composed of high-quality online courses, resources for students, and technology, the CVC-OEI represents a comprehensive and collaborative program that leverages effective practices and technology to significantly increase the opportunity for higher education degree attainment in California.

The CVC-OEI is sponsored by the Foothill-De Anza Community College District as the recipient of a grant disbursed by the California Community College Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO).
