The internet websites of the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office are designed, developed and maintained to be in compliance with California Government Code Sections 7405 and 11135 and current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). To request an alternate format or report accessibility barriers, please contact the Webmaster.

Please note the Chancellor’s Office needs to support present-day technical accessibility standards, such as ARIA 1.1, to ensure our interactive web features work correctly with modern browsers and assistive technology. Because Internet Explorer (IE11) does not support these technical standards, we strongly recommend using another browser if you are using assistive technology. We recommend several browser and screen reader combinations, including:

  • Chrome Version 73 or later / JAWS 2019 (Windows)

  • Firefox 66 or later / NVDA 2019.1 (Windows)

  • iOS 13 (or later) / Safari with VoiceOver (Mobile)

Website accessibility has been verified by experts in accessible evaluation and approved in the Chancellor's Office Certificate of Web Accessibility. As of July 2019, most website content posted on the following websites meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA success criteria. Items that are in the process of being updated to meet the current level of accessibility will have a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) plan on file. Each website VPAT outlines specific issues identified through a third-party vendor conformance report, a timeline to get a solution in place, and, if applicable, the alternate format available as an interim resolution. A VPAT plan for each website is available upon request. We are actively working to ensure all content on our websites is accessible to everyone.
